Gillingham defender John Nutter has signed a new deal with the League One newcomers.
Nutter was instrumental in Gillingham's promotion from League Two as he featured in all but one of the Gills' games last season.
The full-back has penned a contract to keep him at Priestfield until 2010.
Nutter is one of five players to have followed manager Mark Stimson from Stevenage to Priestfield, having also played under the Gills boss at Grays.
Meanwhile, Gillingham have held talks with former Oldham midfielder Kevin Maher about a move to the club.
Maher, who had a spell on loan at Priestfield in 2008, is looking for a new club after being released by the Latics.
Gills boss Stimson has confirmed Maher is one of a number of players he is interested in signing.
"I've already had talks with Kevin Maher and we're waiting to hear back from him," Stimson told the club's official website.
"I'm looking to add two or three more players to the squad and we hope to have some more news in the near future."
