Danny Cadamarteri has agreed a deal to join Dundee United, skysports.com understands.

The former Everton man is poised to sign a pre-contract deal after leaving Huddersfield Town.

Cadamarteri turned down the offer of a new deal at Huddersfield and it appears United have won the race for the 29-year-old's signature.

United are believed to be prepared to offer Cadamarteri a two-year deal to lure him to Tannadice.

United boss Craig Levein is a big admirer of Cadamarteri, having signed him during his time in charge of Leicester, and a deal is expected to be concluded once the SPL seasons finishes this weekend.

Huddersfield striker Danny Cadamarteri looks set to sign a pre-contract deal for Dundee United in the next few days after rejecting fresh terms with Town.
