Striker to look for new club

Norwich City have released Carl Cort after bringing an early end to the striker's contract. Cort joined the relegated Canaries in December on a deal which was due to run until the end of June. However, after missing the closing weeks of the season with a foot injury, Cort has been let go by Norwich boss Bryan Gunn. "We wish Carl all the best," Gunn told the club's official website. "He came in at a difficult time and did a good job for me when I took over. "We wish him well with his fitness battle and hope he finds a new club and we see his career progress." Former Wimbledon and Newcastle United striker Cort scored once in 13 appearances during his time at Carrow Road.
