Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson concedes he 'half expects' star striker Simon Cox to leave the club in the summer.

Cox has scored 32 goals in all competitions this season and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion are rumoured to have shown an interest in the 22-year-old, while reports claim the Robins would demand in excess of £1million.

Wilson admits no deal is currently in the pipeline to sell Cox, but acknowledged he could be on the move before the start of next season.

"I half expect something to happen, but it's got to be right for the player and the club," said Wilson.

"If that is the case we'll wish him well and send him on his way, but we're not anywhere near that at the moment.

"If something does happen I'm sure it will be sooner rather than later and I hope it doesn't drag on."
