Five released at the Keepmoat Stadium

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll has released five players in the club's end-of-season clearout. Strikers Jason Price, Gareth Taylor, Darren Byfield and Tomi Ameobi along with defender Gordon Greer have all been told their contracts are not to be renewed. Taylor joined the club in January 2008 but failed to make much of an impact at the Keepmoat Stadium in scoring just one goal, while Byfield made just three starts all season. Jason Price, who impressed on loan at Millwall at the back end of the campaign, could end up at the Lions permanently, with Ameobi on the lookout for a new club after failing to make the grade at Doncaster following his release from Leeds United. Greer joined Doncaster in July 2007 from Kilmarnock but has struggled with injuries since his switch south of the border.
