Mark Tyler has been told he can leave Peterborough if he finds a new club over the summer.
The goalkeeper has not made an appearance for Darren Ferguson's side this season but he still has a year left to run on his contract.
Having enjoyed a successful two-month loan spell with Bury earlier in the campaign, Tyler has now been informed his future lies away from London Road.
"He did very well at Bury and we all know that he is a good keeper, but if another club did come in for him he would probably be allowed to leave," assistant manager Kevin Russell told the Evening Telegraph.
Posh are preparing for life in the Championship and have good options available to them with Joe Lewis and James McKeown established as the top two keepers at the club.
