Williams: Injury blow
Peterborough have been rocked by the news that Tom Williams will be ruled out for the rest of the season.
The versatile defender picked up a knee injury during the 2-1 win over Oldham on Saturday and had to be substituted.
It has now been discovered that he suffered a medial ligament tear and will not be able to help Posh fight for promotion over the coming weeks.
"We found out that it is a bit more serious than we first feared and that is my season over, which is very frustrating and disappointing," he told the club's official website.
"It caps a rather frustrating campaign for me to be honest.
"I have had a long spell on the sidelines already this term so it is frustrating that my season is over, but hopefully the lads can do the business and when I come back we will be preparing for a campaign in the Championship."
