Royle completes second loan capture of the week

Oldham have completed their second loan capture in as many days after Ian Westlake agreed a switch to Boundary Park. The former Ipswich Town midfielder moves to the League One promotion hopefuls from Cheltenham on a deal until the end of the season. Royle completed a similar move for Ipswich goalkeeper Shane Supple on Wednesday and has now snapped up Westlake, another player he knows well from his time in charge at Portman Road. Westlake only made his move to Cheltenham permanent in January, following an impressive loan spell from Leeds United, but the Robins have informed all of their senior players that they are free to find another club due to financial problems. The 25-year-old made his debut at Ipswich under Royle and went on to make 125 appearances before moving to Leeds in 2006.
