Barry Fry insists it will cost £15m for Celtic to sign a trio of Peterborough's leading lights.

Celtic linked with Boyd, Mackail-Smith and Mclean

Barry Fry insists it will cost £15million for Celtic to sign a trio of Peterborough United's leading lights. Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has been linked with a triple bid for George Boyd, Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron McLean. The players were key figures in Peterborough's promotion from League Two last season and are again playing an integral role in the club's push for the Championship this term. Director of football Fry has suggested that SPL champions Celtic have shown an interest in prising the three players away from London Road. But Fry insists the League One side are not interested in selling and has placed £5million price tags on each player.

Priced out of market

"If Gordon thinks we are trying to price him out of the market then he's absolutely correct," Fry told the Daily Record. "We are not interested in selling. "When anyone comes on to speak to me about them I quote £5m each. "Craig has scored 45 goals in 69 games, Aaron 53 in 83 and George 31 in 95 - and he's been playing as a left winger! "We are going for back-to-back promotions and can't afford to do without these players."
