Rotherham have signed former Stockport midfielder Jason Taylor on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the South Yorkshire club, and is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Luton.

Taylor started his career at Oldham before moving to Stockport in 2006, where he played almost 100 games for the club, scoring 6 goals.

He won the Hatters' young player of the year award in 2007 but has struggled to force his way into regular first-team contention this season.
