Dons' vice-captain pens new contract extension

MK Dons defender Sean O'Hanlon has signed a new contract with the League One club. The new deal will run until 2011 and the news comes a day after team-mates Aaron Wilbraham and Willy Gueret also penned new deals of their own. The Dons' vice-captain turns 26 next week and is an important member of manager Roberto Di Matteo's plans having been an ever present for the club in the league this season. The centre-back marked his 100th league appearance for the club with a goal in the win over Leeds at the weekend and is just happy to now be able to concentrate on his football. "It feels great to get everything sorted, now I can concentrate on helping the club fight for promotion," he told the club's official website. "The Championship is where I want to be playing, it's where the club want to be playing and we've given ourselves a great opportunity to get there."
