Walsall have terminated the contract of Ishmel Demontagnac following a 'series of serious breaches of club discipline'.
The 20-year-old, who was sent off during last weekend's FA Cup defeat to Scunthorpe, has been sacked for his off-field conduct.
Demontagnac was arrested by police on suspicion of a breach of the peace on Sunday morning, but released without charge.
"Walsall Football Club can confirm that the playing contract of Ishmel Demontagnac has been terminated," read a club statement.
"The decision has been taken as a result of a series of serious breaches of club discipline, culminating in an incident at the weekend which required the intervention of West Midlands Police and resulted in his subsequent arrest."
