Striker agrees to make Yeovil loan move on Monday

Port Vale striker Luke Rodgers has agreed to join Yeovil Town after falling out of favour with manager Dean Glover. The 26-year-old is set to make a loan switch to Huish Park on Monday, with the possibility of the move becoming permanent in January. And Rodgers has now revealed that he has been forced to move on after Glover informed him that Vale were looking at other options. "I spoke to Deano and asked if I could get involved," Glover told The Sentinel. "But he said he didn't see me playing on either wing, and also said he was planning for next season. I'm gutted because I've loved it at the Vale. "I've scored 20 goals since I've been there and feel I've done well. But I don't want to sit on the bench. "I definitely don't hold any grudge against Deano. And I'd like to thank the fans and the players who have been brilliant with me, and I wish the club all the best."
