Bournemouth have lined up a deal to sign Swindon Town striker Barry Corr on loan.
Corr has not played a first-team game since March due to a shoulder injury and Swindon are keen for the forward to build up his match fitness.
With Bournemouth set to lose Jo Kuffour to Bristol Rovers, Corr is poised to head to Dean Court as a short-term replacement.
Swindon boss Maurice Malpas told the Western Daily Press: "We have spoken to Bournemouth about the possibility of taking Barry on loan for a month.
"He is very much part of our plans, but needs games to get himself back up to speed in terms of match fitness.
"He won't get enough playing time here at the moment and the reserve games are so infrequent that it becomes a problem.
"The best thing for him to do would be to go away to Bournemouth for a month, play four or five games and then come back here ready to fight for a first-team place.
"I talked it over with Kevin (Bond) over the weekend and we would expect a decision in the next day or so."
