Cheltenham have handed a trial to former Birmingham and Fulham striker Geoff Horsfield.
The 34-year-old has joined the Robins for pre-season training and could feature in a friendly against Cirencester on Tuesday evening.
Should the veteran forward earn a deal at Whaddon Road then the League One outfit would become his 11th club in a much-travelled career.
However, it is that experience which Keith Downing is hoping can benefit his squad.
"Geoff is just training with us at the moment," he said.
"He has not done a lot in pre-season but we're having a look at him and he is having a look at us.
"When fully fit he is a very good player so we're going to see how we get on with it."
