Defender to sign on free transfer

Bournemouth will complete the signing of defender Scott Guyett from Yeovil on a two-year contract on Friday. The 32-year-old Australian had one year remaining on his contract with the Glovers but that was terminated by mutual consent. It was decided it would be beneficial to allow Guyett to link up with the Cherries on a free transfer. Guyett will be manager Kevin Bond's first summer signing, and chief executive Alastair Saverimutto believes the move represents a rebuilding process. "It's been a long summer for everybody involved with the football club, but with the embargo now lifted this signing marks the start of Kevin rebuilding his squad to a depth that can compete in League Two this season," said Saverimutto.
