Frenchman set for Swindon switch

Lilian Nalis has verbally agreed a permanent switch to League One side Swindon. The Frenchman is now expected to put pen to paper on a full-time contract before the end of the week. Nalis has impressed during a trial period at the County Ground and held talks with the club's management team following Tuesday's pre-season game against Cardiff. The 36-year-old is without a club after being released by Championship outfit Plymouth at the end of last season.

Experience

He does, however, have plenty of experience in the English game having previously taken in spells at Leicester and Sheffield United. He arrived at the Foxes back in 2003 and spent two years with the club, one of which was spent in the Premier League, prior to joining the Blades. However, he failed to settle at Bramall Lane and, following a loan spell at Coventry, left the club after making just six appearances. Nalis then went on to make over 100 appearances for Plymouth during his time at Home Park, but was deemed surplus to requirements by Paul Sturrock this summer.
