Full-back expected to sign contract this week
Coventry City aim to finalise the signing of defender Stephen Wright later this week.
Wright has spent much of pre-season training with the Sky Blues after being released by Sunderland at the end of last term.
He has impressed Coventry boss Chris Coleman and has been offered a contract to stay at the Ricoh Arena.
The full-back is due to play in Tuesday's friendly against Livingston and Coventry chairman Ray Ranson is confident the deal will be completed.
Ranson told the Coventry Evening Telegraph: "We have put a proposal to him and he was on the bus going to Scotland, so I would like to think it will get done this week."
