Defender agrees new deal

Bournemouth defender Ryan Garry has agreed a six-month contract extension with the Cherries. The centre-back missed most of last season with a broken leg but now looks set to sign a new deal to keep him at Dean Court. The 24-year-old joined Bournemouth from Arsenal last summer and manager Kevin Bond is hoping the former England youth international can rediscover his best form. "We've got an agreement in place with Ryan and it's just a matter of getting him to come down to put pen-to-paper," Bond told the Bournemouth Daily Echo. "We've agreed something along the same lines as last season and he's comfortable with that and so are we. "We are looking forward to seeing him have a sustained injury-free period."
