Goalkeeper signs new contract

Goalkeeper Glenn Morris has signed a new two-year deal with Leyton Orient. The 24-year-old, who has come through the ranks at Orient, broke into Martin Ling's side towards the end of last season. He has been rewarded for his efforts with a contract that ties him to the club until 2010, and Ling has assured him he will be first-choice keeper for the new campaign. "We have given him the number one jersey and that is fully deserved after the way he played when he got his chance," said Ling. "He was last number one four years ago and he's had to wait for his chance, but I feel he's matured as a goalkeeper over that time and, at 24, he's ready for the challenge." Ling is still waiting on a contract decision from midfielder Paul Terry.
