Moore backs youngster to push for first-team spot
Tranmere Rovers defender Danny Holmes has signed a one-year contract with the club.
Holmes had been offered a new deal by manager Ronnie Moore earlier this month after impressing during a loan spell at Southport.
He is yet to make his first-team debut for Tranmere, but Moore feels the teenager has a bright future at Prenton Park.
"Danny is a promising young defender who gained match experience from his spell at Southport," Moore told the club's official website.
"Hopefully he will use it to his advantage and push for a first-team place next season."
Meanwhile, youngsters Aaron Cresswell and Terry Gornell have signed their first professional contracts with Tranmere.
