Nottingham Forest star Nathan Tyson is hoping to sign a new deal at the club.
Tyson has just over a year to run on his current contract and a number of clubs are thought to be monitoring his situation.
The former Wycombe hit-man says he is happy with life at the City Ground and he is planning talks over his future in the next few weeks.
"I am happy to stay, there is no question about that. I do not want to leave. I think there will be talks very soon, it would be nice to get things sorted before I go on holiday," Tyson told the Nottingham Evening Post.
Contract"I will see what happens in the next few weeks. I am sure I will be going in to speak to the gaffer about my future. I have a year left but, if they want to extend my contract, hopefully now is the time to do it.
"The gaffer has said he had a plan A and a plan B for the season - I just hope I am part of plan A. It is in the hands of the chairman, the gaffer and Mark Arthur now. But I don't want to leave it until Christmas or anything like that to get things resolved. I want to get it over and done with."
