Oldham Athletic captain Sean Gregan has received positive news on the injury which forced him to leave the field against Leyton Orient last Saturday.
Gregan was making only his second start since overcoming a long-term Achilles problem, which kept him sidelined for over five months.
The 34-year-old suffered the latest injury during a collision with an Orient opponent and sustained heavy bruising and a laceration across the top of his foot.
But Gregan has been given the all-clear following x-rays on the foot, with the midfielder now in contention to feature in Saturday's League One fixture at Northampton.
