Millwall have suffered an injury blow with the news striker Gary Alexander has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Alexander needed several stitches in his left ankle having picked up the injury during last month's victory over Yeovil.
The League One strugglers had been hoping to have Alexander back before the campaign's close but a visit to a specialist has brought a less optimistic outlook to the situation.
Brighter news for Lions boss Kenny Jackett is the imminent return of Lewis Grabban following a hamstring complaint.
"Gary was seen by another specialist who recommended he refrain from running for another two weeks, which means his season is effectively over," said Lions physio Bobby Bacic.
"This is highly disappointing but we are thankful his injury was not more serious due to the severity of the blow he received."
