Defender on verge of agreeing Swindon stay

Swindon defender Miguel Comminges has revealed he is on the verge of agreeing a new deal with the Robins. The Guadeloupe international, who has made 38 league appearances since joining from French side Stade de Reims last summer, is one of eight Swindon players out of contract at the end of the season. But the 26-year-old is confident he will still be at the County Ground next season - and beyond. "I have had discussions with the gaffer and I think in a few weeks it will be sorted. That will be okay," he told the Swindon Advertiser.

Confident

"I am confident I will be here next season, the one after that and hopefully even more. I think we will have a good squad and a good team. "I love English football. After taking a month adapting to it, I think it is for me."
