Striker signs two-and-a-half-year contract
Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Jonny Dixon in a £55,000 deal from Blue Square Premier leaders Aldershot.
Dixon joined Aldershot on a permanent basis from Wycombe Wanderers 12 months ago, having had two loan spells at the club.
But he has now secured a return to the Football League after signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with Brighton.
He could make his debut against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday after admitting the move 'came out of the blue'.
"I only became aware of Brighton's interest a couple of evenings ago, and it came totally out of the blue, but I am delighted to have joined the club," Dixon told the club's official website.
"Having spoken with the manager I know that he likes to play football and am looking forward to getting started."
