Doncaster Rovers defender Gordon Greer could be out for another three months after undergoing a hip operation.
Greer has not played for Doncaster since the start of December and went under the knife last weekend.
The Scot, who joined Sean O'Driscoll's side from Kilmarnock last summer, is not expected to return until April.
"Gordon Greer had a hip operation on Sunday and is recovering very well," Rovers physio John Dickens told the club's official website.
"He has started his rehabilitation programme and will see a specialist in two weeks' time and we will take the next step from there.
"At the moment we are looking at between 10-12 weeks in terms of when Gordon will be fit again.
"However, at the moment, looking at the progress that Gordon is making, it may be a bit earlier."
