Hartlepool United have placed Antony Sweeney on the transfer list, despite offering the midfielder a new contract.

Sweeney's current deal expires in the summer, however he has turned down the club's proposal of an extension.

Manager Danny Wilson explained that the club are listening to offers but would prefer to keep the 24-year-old.

"Antony Sweeney has been offered a new contract but at this moment in time has turned it down," he told the club's official website.

"We are listening to offers from him but he has been offered this deal so we are hoping he'll stay at the club."

New clubs

Wilson also revealed that Lee Bullock, Ali Gibb, and Ian Moore have all been placed on the transfer list.

"Ali Gibb (Notts County) and Lee Bullock (Bradford) are away on loan at the moment and they're looking for new clubs," he continued.

"Ian Moore is finding the travelling a little too much and with a young family back in Warrington it's been more difficult than he expected it to be so is looking to move on."
