Stimson makes players available for transfer

Gillingham are trying to pay up Steve Lomas' contract, with the midfielder one of nine players put on the transfer list. Lomas joined the Gills from Queens Park Rangers last summer, but is not part of Mark Stimson's future plans at the League One club. Stimson confirmed talks have taken place regarding a settlement on the former Northern Ireland international's deal, but an agreement has not been reached. "I think at this moment in time, his legs are not what I am looking for," said Stimson. "We have spoken to Steve a few times and have been trying to do a contract settlement. Unfortunately, he is not entertaining that at the moment and that is disappointment as we haven't gone lightly on it." In addition to Lomas' name being made available, Stimson is also looking to offload Kelvin Jack, Craig Armstrong, Marvin Hamilton, Tom Bryant, Craig Stone, Aaron Brown, Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu and Dave Graham.
