Forward would be an asset

Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll insists he would not interfere if veteran striker Bruce Dyer wanted to leave the club. The former Barnsley forward, 32, has started just three times for Rovers this season but O'Driscoll believes he would be an asset to a club despite his injury problems.

Experience

"Bruce has had an ongoing problem with his back which flares up every now and again. But he has looked fit in training and if somebody either made an enquiry or came in for him then we wouldn't stand in his way," he told the Sheffield Star. "Bruce has slipped down the pecking order and a player of his age and experience wants to be playing on a regular basis. "He uses his experience well with the younger players in the squad and even with the youth team and he sets a good example. "He can't do any more to get into the squad than he is already doing. As I say he looks fit now and I would imagine that he'd be an asset for someone out there looking for a striker."
