Clark commits to Wilson's side

Hartlepool United defender Ben Clark has signed a new contract to stay with the League One club. The 24-year-old joined the club from Sunderland in October 2004 and has made over 120 appearances for Pools. He had no qualms in pledging his future to Danny Wilson's side and expressed his delight at playing for the club. "I am absolutely delighted," Clark told the club's official website. "Once the manager said that he wanted to offer me a new deal there was no doubt that I'd be signing it. "I'm very settled here and everyone at the club has been fantastic with me - that's the supporters all the way through to the players and the staff here." Clark is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but is hoping to return to Wilson's plans in the New Year.
