Brian Laws admits he may try to bring Sunderland midfielder Graham Kavanagh back to Sheff Wed.

Wednesday also record financial profit

Brian Laws admits he may try to bring Sunderland midfielder Graham Kavanagh back to Sheffield Wednesday. Kavanagh has recently completed a month-long stint at Hillsborough to build up his match fitness, but has since returned to Sunderland. Black Cats boss Roy Keane expects Kavanagh to feature in his plans in the coming weeks, but his Owls counterpart Laws is maintaining a watching brief. "I understand where Roy is coming from because he needs to think about his team first and foremost," Laws told the club's official website.

Opportunity

"I will continue to assess the situation next week to see if there is another opportunity to bring Graham back. "But while we are losing one experienced midfielder in Graham Kavanagh for the trip to Plymouth we are gaining another one because we have Steve Watson coming back from injury." Meanwhile, Wednesday have posted an annual financial profit for the first time in over a decade. The Championship club have recorded a profit of £1.5million in accounts which go up to 31st May, 2007. The sale of Madjid Bougherra to Charlton Athletic was the key factor, with The Owls having made a loss of £457,000 the previous year.
