Port Vale loanee may go back to parent club Chester

Chester are ready to recall Ashley Westwood as they believe he is not receiving enough playing time while on loan at Port Vale. This may come as somewhat of a shock to Vale, given he has started the past six games for the League One strugglers. Westwood was transfer listed by Chester in August before joining Vale on a three-month loan deal in September. It would appear Chester are far from happy with the manner in which their player is being treated in his spell away from the club. A statement from Chester's official website said: "Chairman Stephen Vaughan has today expressed a concern that Ashley Westwood who is on loan at Port Vale is being under used. "City currently subsidise the player's salary and Mr. Vaughan has said consideration is being given to a recall as it is felt that he is not being utilised fully with a view to a permanent move to the club in question."
