Leaders Leyton Orient fell to defeat at Gillingham, but managerless Port Vale were victorious. Leeds United needed a very late winner to see off Oldham Althletic, while there were also victories for Millwall, Swansea City and Walsall on Tuesday. But bottom side Bournemouth suffered their sixth defeat of the season at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion.

Bournemouth remain rooted to the bottom of the table after a 2-0 defeat at home against Brighton & Hove Albion. Second-half goals from Dean Cox (46) and Bas Savage (66) secured victory for The Seagulls.
Bristol Rovers 1 Southend 1
Leon Clarke scored an equaliser deep into stoppage time to rescue a point for Southend United against Bristol Rovers, who had taken the lead through Richard Walker's 11th minute penalty.
Doncaster 2 Walsall 3
Walsall came out on top in a five-goal thriller at The Keepmoat Stadium. Matthew Mills (17) and Lewis Guy (40) twice had Doncaster Rovers ahead, only for the home side to be pegged back firstly by Daniel Fox (28) and then Mark Bradley (66). Tommy Mooney made no mistake from the penalty spot in the 71st minute to score the winner and Doncaster ended the game with ten men after Guy's late sending off.

David Graham scored twice (25 & 50) as Leyton Orient lost 3-1 to Gillingham, whose other goal came from Barry Cogan on 67 minutes. Jabo Ibehre did pull one back for The O's but they were unable to mount a comeback.

Danny Graham's double (19 & 45) was not enough for Carlisle United to claim all three points as goals from Richie Barker (39) and Michael Mackay (86) ensured Hartlepool United took a share of the spoils.
Huddersfield 1 Nottingham Forest 1
Danny Cadamateri scored midway through the second-half but was then sent off for his celebration, allowing Nottingham Forest to come back and draw 1-1 against Huddersfield Town thanks to Kris Commons' goal 15 minutes from time.

Alan Dunne (12) and Paul Robinson (31) were on the score sheet for Millwall against Northampton Town at The Den.
Oldham 0 Leeds Utd 1
Leeds United left it late but substitute Ian Westlake's goal in the fifth minute of added time secured Dennis Wise's men an eighth win in nine games at Oldham Athletic.
Port Vale 3 Cheltenham 0
Port Vale picked up their first win since Martin Foyle's departure as goals from David McGoldrick (21), Paul Edwards (73) and Craig Rocastle (88) gave them a much-needed win against Cheltenham Town. Both sides were reduced to ten men after Jason Talbot and Andy Lindegaard were sent off following an incident in the 23rd minute.

Warren Feeney's 74th minute strike ensured Swansea City took all three points against Swindon Town despite Christian Roberts (70) cancelling out Paul Anderson's opener 20 minutes in.
Tranmere 1 Crewe 1
Tranmere Rovers and Crewe Alexandra drew 1-1 with Chris Shuker equalising for the home side on 65 minutes after they had gone behind to Gary Roberts' penalty (56).
Yeovil 0 Luton Town 0
Yeovil Town missed the chance to climb the League One table as they played out a goalless draw against Luton Town at Huish Park.
