Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore has revealed that Steve Davies will have a scan on his injured knee.
The winger was stretchered off during Saturday's match against Northampton Town.
Davies will undergo a scan on Tuesday, and Moore is keeping his fingers crossed ahead of the results.
"We still don't know the extent of the injury, but he'll have a scan Tuesday afternoon," he told the club's official website.
"We hope it's only cartilage but it could be cruciate ligaments which would be frustrating for us.
"You knew something was wrong when he signalled straight away. There's a lot of swelling but there's a lot of movement there. We've just got to wait and see."
