League One side Oldham have moved to sign defender Reuben Hazell on an initial month's contract.
The Latics picked up Hazell on a free as the 28-year-old was out of contract after leaving Chesterfield in the summer.
Hazell started his career as a trainee at Aston Villa and has spent time at Tranmere, Torquay, Kidderminster and Chesterfield.
Oldham manager John Sheridan had been keen to bring in cover in defence and will feel that Hazell is ideal as he can play in the centre and on the left side.
The 28-year-old goes straight into Sheridan's squad for Saturday's game with Southend United.
