Jim Gannon insists Stockport County have received no offers for striker Anthony Elding.

The January recruit from Boston United has been linked with a move to Crewe Alexandra, who are looking for a new front man after selling Luke Varney and losing Nicky Maynard to injury.

But Stockport boss Gannon insists the club have not fielded any interest in Elding, who has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances.

"We haven't received any enquiries," said Gannon.

"But the players can trust that if any club makes an approach, they will be fully informed and we will respect any opportunity that they may be given."

Meanwhile, the League Two club have been given a boost after promising midfield duo Tommy Rowe and Greg Tansey signed new contracts.

Rowe and Tansey, who has been tracked by Liverpool and Charlton Athletic, have agreed to stay at Edgeley Park until 2009.
