Chris Shuker has handed Tranmere Rovers a boost ahead of the new season by signing a new contract.
The winger has committed himself to Rovers until 2010, having had just 12 months reamining on his previous deal.
Shuker played in every League One game last season after joining from Bury and is now looking forward to the new campaign.
"I really enjoyed last season at Tranmere and I'm happy to have signed a new contract," Shuker told the club's official website.
Can't wait to start
"The gaffer has made some good signings this summer and hopefully we can be in contention for promotion this season.
"I can't wait to get started against Leeds on the opening day."
Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore was equally pleased with the deal, saying: "It's a massive boost before the start of the season.
"He was a very important player for us last season and we're really pleased to have him here for another three years.
"He's an exciting winger who can change a game in a second and is always capable of doing the unexpected. He's one of the few players I'd pay to watch."
