Aaron Lescott has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract at Bristol Rovers.

Aaron Lescott has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract at Bristol Rovers.

The versatile midfielder, who can also play in defence, was out of contract this summer.

But he has agreed a new deal to stay at the newly-promoted League One club until the summer of 2009.

"We're delighted to have tied Aaron up for two more years," Rovers boss Paul Trollope told the club's official website.

"He played a big part last season and enjoyed some good spells at left-back, right-back and midfield as well.

"He was another one we wanted to tie up, we've done that now, and although there's a few more yet to sign on the dotted line we're well on the road to securing them all."
