Rochdale have completed the signing of striker Graham Cummins on loan from Preston North End.

The 25-year-old, who has scored five goals in 39 appearances for Preston, will stay at Spotland until January. Cummins joined Preston in January 2012 from Cork, where he hit the target 42 times in 64 appearances. He began his career at Cobh Ramblers and went on to become the first Cork player to score more than 20 goals in one season, after arriving in March 2010. The Republic of Ireland Under-23 international has yet to appear for Preston this season, but made 24 appearances during the previous campaign and scored three goals.
