Westley hits out at officials

Stevenage boss Graham Westley was left fuming at refereeing decisions following their 1-1 draw at home to Bradford City.

Greg Tansey's first-half spot-kick put the hosts in front but after the break Kyel Reid curled in a sumptuous free-kick to level up proceedings. Stevenage had their chances to steal it late on, with Oumare Tounkara going closest, but they had to settle for a point in the end. However, Westley was adamant that it should have been all three if his side had been given a fair crack of the whip by the referee. "I don't want to come out and talk about decisions all the time but we should have been two up and playing against 10 men with a clear handball on the line," he said. "We've looked at the footage and I can't see how the referee has missed it from a great position. Another poor decision gave them the free-kick that they scored from. "It was a great effort from the players after 120 minutes in midweek and their performance was exceptional. We deserved more than what we got. "I'm sick to death of the way things are with these officials and I say it and say it and say it. I've been promised a visit by the head of referees and he hasn't seen me. "I want to show him some of these decisions and ask him why things are against us because there's no question we don't get a fair rub of the green. "On a different day it's a very different result and that's testament to the way we played."
