Dennis Rofe will take charge of Bournemouth as they travel to Coventry at the weekend.

The former Bristol Rovers manager, who joined the Cherries coaching staff in the summer, will be assisted by development coach Chris Hargreaves. Chairman Eddie Mitchell is still searching for a replacement for Paul Groves, who was sacked along with his assistant Shaun Brooks earlier in the week. Rofe and Hargreaves were kept on at the club and will remain in charge until a permanent replacement is brought in. Rofe played for Leyton Orient, Leicester, Chelsea and Southampton during a 26-year playing career and was the regional youth development officer for the Football League prior to joining Bournemouth.
