Dickov bemoans poor finishing

Oldham manager Paul Dickov praised his side's performance but admitted they lack a cutting edge in their 3-0 loss at Sheffield Wednesday.

Gary Madine scored for the home side in the first half before Miguel Llera and Ryan Lowe made the winning margin more comfortable after the break. "We gave them a good work out, despite the score. We just need to get better in both boxes to convert good performances into wins," he said. "We've got a good young team which shows good signs for the future. They are fit, enthusiastic and can give people a run for their money. "We're not safe yet, by any stretch of the imagination. We need to really focus now going forward, put this bad run on hold and play our football."
