Luton have completed the signing of midfielder Nathan Doyle on a free transfer following his release from Bradford.

Doyle has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the Hatters and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's League Two fixture against Cheltenham at Kenilworth Road. "Nathan is a top quality player and I think we're very fortunate to be able to bring him here," Luton boss John Still told the club's official website. "He's only 27 but he's played over 250 games - most of them in the Championship, which underlines his ability. "He barely missed a game for Bradford last season and was a driving force behind their success the season before last. He's got masses of big-game experience and knows what it takes to get out of League Two. "He's a very good player, capable of playing in a number of positions, but he's a central midfielder who can pass, create and break-up play. We're confident he can be a great success with us." Doyle, a former England youth international, spent the previous two years with Bradford and made 39 appearances for the Bantams in League One last season. He helped the West Yorkshire club win promotion in 2012/13 - a season that also saw Doyle twice play at Wembley against Swansea in the Capital One Cup final and Northampton in the League Two play-off final.
