Crawley Town manager Steve Evans has suggested he will not be increasing his bid for Ipswich Town midfielder Andy Drury.
The 28-year-old has recently completed a three-month loan spell at Crawley and scored four goals in 15 appearances for the League Two leaders.
Drury is understood to be keen to join the Red Devils permanently after struggling to make an impact at Ipswich since moving to Portman Road in January.
Reports suggest Crawley have made a 'significant' offer for Drury and Evans is hoping that Ipswich will reconsider the bid.
"As far as I am concerned that will be the end of the matter unless Ipswich have a change of mind," Evans told The Argus.
"The player has been superb for us and very importantly wants to be here. Let us hope things can be sorted out and Andy's real Christmas wish comes true."
Drury arrived at Ipswich from Luton Town, but he had not featured for Paul Jewell's side in the Championship this season prior to his move to Crawley.
