Posh keeper finalises month-long loan deal

Phil Brown is confident goalkeeper Mark Tyler will be a 'good addition' to the Hull City squad. Tyler has moved to Hull on a month's loan from Peterborough United and will challenge Boaz Myhill for a starting role. Tigers boss Brown brought Tyler to the club due to Matt Duke's ongoing recovery from an operation to remove a testicular tumour. But Brown does not expect the experienced keeper to merely warm the bench as he wants his new signing to provide Myhill with competition. "We've brought Mark in and he is somebody who has played a lot of games in the lower leagues," said Brown. "He is a good shot-stopper, a good decision maker and he commands his box well. He will push Boaz Myhill for the No.1 spot. "Mark has played first-team football this season and he looks sharp. He'll be on the coach to Colchester and hopefully he'll be a good addition for the next month."
