Nottingham Forest have made an approach to sign Dave Edwards from League One strugglers Luton Town.

Luton midfielder could be on his way

Nottingham Forest have made an approach to sign Dave Edwards from League One strugglers Luton Town. Since going into administration last month, Luton have circulated the names of several players to other clubs. Forest have now stepped in to make a bid for Edwards, who only moved to Kenilworth Road from Shrewsbury Town in the summer. "Luton Town have circulated the names of several players to state they might be available," Forest chief executive Mark Arthur told the Nottingham Evening Post. "And we have contacted the club's administrators to enquire about David Edwards." Wales international midfielder Edwards has made 21 appearances for Luton and has twice been on the winning side against Forest this season.
