Luton star Curtis Davies says he is anticipating that the club will sell him if they receive an offer that is too good to turn down.The young stopper has acclimatised well to life in The Championship after being named League One Player of the Year last season during The Hatters' promotion campaign.
Blessed with pace, strength and composure the 20-year-old now looks set for big things after coping well against seasoned performers like Andy Johnson and Robbie Blake as Luton sit proudly at the top of England's second tier after three games.
Arsenal have been rumoured to hold an interest in one of League football's most promising youngsters, and Davies admits he is keen to test himself on the biggest stages.
The Hatters have started the season in tremendous form but could require further investment if they are to sustain their progress, and their star stopper believes a cash windfall from his departure is too good an opportunity to neglect.
"I want to play Premiership and international football," said Davies.
"The club wouldn't hold onto me if someone offers silly money.
"If that is what is needed to take this club on to the next level they should do it."
Luton boss Mike Newell has admitted that he faces an uphill battle to keep hold of his ambitious star, and revealed that there is widespread interest in his defensive gem.
"Curtis just gets stronger and stronger and better and better and he has a desire to make it not just here but at the highest level," said Newell.
"There are plenty of people sniffing around and asking about him and I don't know how long we'll be able to keep hold of him."
