Swindon striker Elliot Benyon has signed on at Southend, with the move set to go through once the January transfer window opens.
Benyon signed for the Robins in the last January window, with the Wiltshire club fighting off competition from the Shrimpers to land the forward from Torquay. But he fell down the pecking order under incoming manager Paolo Di Canio and was subsequently loaned out on a season-long deal to Wycombe, for whom he scored just one goal in 13 appearances. The 24-year-old was then recalled from his stint at Adams Park before agreeing to make the switch to Roots Hall.
