Liam Dickinson hopes his move to Southend will reignite his career with the striker looking to fire the club to promotion.
Dickinson, 25, has penned a one-year deal at Roots Hall but insists he does not want to stay in League Two beyond this season. He told The Echo: "I've dropped down to League Two to sign here but I don't want to still be playing at this level next season because I want to help Southend go up. "We have the players here to do it and I want to raise my profile in the game again." Dickinson is hoping to make his debut against Premier League new-boys Norwich, although he is struggling with an ankle injury.
